Em virtude das dificuldades na construção do VANT de menor capacidade de carga optamos por comprar o VANT com maior capacidade de carga útil, sem prejuízo para o projeto como relatado na justificativa encaminhada a FINEP.
Uma extensiva pesquisa foi realizada, duas aeronaves foram selecionadas inicialmente. Após várias trocas de e-mail e reuniões virtuais de trabalho com os fabricantes, optamos pelo VANT AEROMAPPER 300 da empresa Canadense AEROMAO. Durante seis meses várias informações foram trocadas com a empresa com o objetivo de integrar a Nano ao VANT. Durante este processo ficamos responsáveis pela modelagem das peças enquanto que a empresa ficou com a parte de compatibilidade da parte eletrônica. Finalizado todo este processo, os primeiros testes foram realizados no Canadá com um modelo 3D da câmera Nano.
A aeronave chegou ao Brasil em Janeiro e na Universidade de Brasília no dia 7 de março de 2018.
